Founded in the year 2000, the Lake Garda–Lombardy consortium was born out of the strong sense of unity between public administrators and private operators. It aims to promote the services and facilities in the municipalities between Limone sul Garda and Sirmione to Italian and foreign tourists, and to provide support to professional operators (media and tour operators).
The consortium is a non-profit organisation and promotes the area through innovative projects, specialised partnerships, sharing strategies and marketing activities with exclusively local partners.

The executive board consists of the president, Marco girardi, vice-presidents Maria Sole Broglia and Flaviano Mattiotti and councillors Gianpietro Seresina, Mauro Moretti and Stefania Lorenzoni.
