Many beaches are recognised annually by Legambiente's '5 vele blu' (‘five blue sails’) scheme, including Gargnano, Tignale, Limone sul Garda and Gardone Riviera. The latter also boasts the Bandiera Blu (‘Blue Flag’), awarded by the FEE.
