From June 6 to August 31, the evocative Sala del Capitano, located within the Monumental Complex of the Fondazione Ugo Da Como, hosts the exhibition “Kenro Izu: Places of the Soul”, curated by Filippo Maggia.
On display is a selection of 55 works spanning over thirty years of artistic and spiritual research, drawn from the series Sacred Places 1 & 2, Eternal Light, Bhutan Sacred Within, India Prayer Echoes, Angkor, Laos Charity, and Fuzhou – Forgotten Land.
Created using analog techniques and the refined use of a large-format view camera, Kenro Izu’s images stand out for their exceptional material quality, the result of meticulous platinum and pigment printing processes. Each photograph is a contemplative work, capable of conveying the sacredness and silence of the places portrayed—from Angkor to Luxor, from Tibet to India.
A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the poetic vision of one of the most celebrated authors in contemporary photography.
