The old Bettoletto hydroelectric power station was inaugurated in 1927 and located in what was once the oldest pre-industrial production centre in Bedizzole. It remained operational until 1967 when it was decommissioned after the Ministry of Public Works issued a decree in 1958 authorising the construction of the Roggia Lonata canal and another hydroelectric plant. Since 2021, major renovation work has been underway to transform the building into an important testament to the industrial archaeology of the Bedizzole area.
