Historical archives of the Mille Miglia race are preserved at the museum, which contains about one hundred and thirty thousand documents, the consultation of which is open to researchers and enthusiasts. The museum is not only an archive but reconstructs the famous cultural and sporting event together with the entire history of Italy. Thanks to private collectors and collaboration with other museums of vintage cars, including the Mercedes-Benz Museum, the Mille Miglia Museum was able to acquire gems on four wheels to present throughout the museum. The cars are exhibited in exhibitions and scenes that recall the various historical periods the race has gone through. The museum is located in the monastery of St Euphemia, a property of great archaeological, historical and architectural value, recovered as an exhibition site and features meeting rooms and catering service with the "Taverna Mille Miglia".
