Moniga del Garda is the birthplace of an idea: the Molmenti method. The idea of making wine with the red grapes of Groppello, an indigenous Garda variety, leaving them in contact with the skins only briefly, has led to the expert production of one of the best rosés in Italy. This has had a strong impact on the identity of the place, which organises an event in honour of Chiaretto every year: ‘Valtenesi in rosa’. The view from the grounds of the medieval castle guarantees a beautiful evening.
