This charming little church is located just below the village of Cadria and was probably built in the Longobard era.
Above the fresco of the patron saint on the façade you can see the date when it was restored, 1547. The bell tower houses bells called Santa Croce and Lorenzina, the latter being attributed special powers against evil spirits.
In 1588, Angelo Stefani, owner of the land, established a testamentary bequest from which originated the tradition of distributing a fifth of wine and a loaf of bread to the faithful on the day of the patron saint, 10 August. The moral obligation to enforce this will lies with the current owner of the property, the Municipality of Magasa.
