This stretch of water, the result of human activity, is surrounded by lush vegetation. The lake that appears sometimes blue and sometimes emerald hides a secret: the ruins of the Italian customs house. When the water level drops, the remains of the walls of this small building can be seen emerging.

Until 1916, this territory was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and a plaque at Lignago recalls the old border between the two states.
