This church is one of the first in the valley according to the 1186 bull of Pope Urban III. It is named after the bishop of Trento, who, according to tradition, evangelised the Vestino Valley.
On 26 June each year, a special ceremony is held there in memory of the plague of 1750 and the patron saint is celebrated: the ossuary dedicated to the victims of the epidemic, which is located under the floor, is blessed and then a quintal of blessed bread is distributed to all those who attended the service. Its function is to be consumed throughout the year as a form of protection against disease.
