In the first half of the 19th century, engineer and architect Paolo Chiodi, originally from Bedizzole, was commissioned by the community to design and build a new municipal office building outside the castle walls. To keep costs down, some of the materials used were recycled from the partial demolition of the perimeter walls of the ancient manor. The building, which retains its original 19th-century design intact, is distinguished by an imposing staircase leading to the upper floor, where there is a large main hall and other smaller rooms. The façade is embellished by a central balcony with a neoclassical marble balustrade, a distinctive feature of the civil architecture of the time.
On the ground floor, there is an elegant portico with arches, along whose walls are several commemorative plaques: some dedicated to benefactors of the community, others to the fallen of the Resistance, and one in particular commemorating Giuseppe Garibaldi's passage through the territory of Bedizzole during the preparations for the battle of Virle Treponti.
