Located in an elegant early 19th-century building, the current home of the Primo Levi Municipal Library in Bedizzole has a fascinating and little-known history. During the Second World War, the historic Villa Boschi provided a secret refuge for numerous works of art from Milan, saved from bombing. These included authentic masterpieces from the Boschi Di Stefano Collection, such as Sironi's La Venere dei Porti, Fontana's famous Tagli, Savinio's Annunciazione, De Chirico's La scuola dei gladiatori, Morandi's Nature morte and Cassinari's Lavandaie. Today, the library is not only a cultural centre but also a real meeting place for young people and families, thanks to the numerous artistic, musical, theatrical and workshop activities organised throughout the year. All this is enriched by a recently redeveloped centuries-old park, which comes alive in the summer months with cultural events and initiatives for all ages.
