On the ruins of the Old Mill stands the current mill, which produces the ‘Farina tipica del lago di Garda’ (typical flour of Lake Garda), a product with Municipal Designation of Origin, a true excellence. Here, the ‘Farine tipiche del lago di Garda’ Agricultural Cooperative produces flours with unique and ancient flavours and processing methods that have achieved national recognition. History tells us that the first milling of cereals in the area dates back as far as 1184. While the construction of the Bedizzole Mill can be dated between 1360 and 1400, the old building was larger than the current one. The characteristic stone mill was built in the building around the second half of the 19th century and was originally used as a municipal forge and part of the larger pre-industrial complex of Bedizzole. Today it is owned by a group of partners. It has a French conglomerate structure and an iron and wood frame. The old mill was restored to working order in September 2009 and is still in operation today, following the procedures of the old tradition. It is possible to visit the archaeological remains and the restored space hosts exhibitions by artists in collaboration with the Andrea Celesti Association.
